Been there and done that. Degree in Agricultural Science with a major in Animal Production. Graduate Certificate in Rural Systems Management. Spent early part of my career as a station hand working on cattle properties from Brisbane Valley to Roma before commencing a career with the Queensland Department of Primary Industries (Grazing Land Management Extension Officer) and the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (Nature Conservation Extension Officer) offering new ideas, products and concepts to the agriculture and grazing industries. Spent a couple of years braving the rat-race of Brisvegas where I was Senior Project Officer (Stock Route Management) with Queensland Department of Natural Resources.Worked as a Project Manager for a private land management contracting and consulting company where I secured and managed large-scale revegetation, biodiversity offset, koala habitat planting and commercial landscaping projects.Have subsequently owned my own business in maintaining acreage properties including cattle work, cropping, and grounds maintenance. Also worked as Supervisor of Parks and Landscape Maintenance for Scenic Rim Regional Council for a short while before commencing as Carbon Project Manager with Climate Friendly.Can turn my hand to almost anything as I've also developed a food tour business (Local Taste Discoveries) and have been co-owner of a retail food business (Pizza Capers).Add in working on the Moggill ferry, rolling newspapers at the local newsagent at 3am and selling ice-creams at football matches during highschool and you get a glimpse of the variety of my working life.
