Carry out planned & corrective maintenance on all electrical equipment onboard from the power generation which includes 3 Solar Gas turbine generators & auxiliary motors including VFD’s, 3 Wartsila generators & auxiliary motors, ABB HV & LV switchboards, Various HV & LV motors & transformers, UPS systems and lighting. Working with voltages ranging from 110V up to 11KV. Carry out Remote & manual switching of HV/LV supplies including synchronising of generators as required to maintain electrical network and to recover from blackout/ESD situations. Use of the Konsberg K-Chief 700 system for control of PMS. Use of the IFS maintenance management system for creating & documenting work orders and for ordering spare parts.Use of the Q4 permit to work system to safely execute the work.AEP onboard to carry out isolations & switching up to 11KV.

Employed as a MT1 ElectricianResponsible for all aspects / scheduling / recording of electrical planned maintenance program,Upgrades,Fault finding and breakdown repairs on all drilling rig associated equipment which includes:Hill Graham/Ross Hill SCR system,Varco IDS 4 Top Drive with VFD,Varco AR3200 iron roughneck,Mud Pumps & Drawworks GE 752 DC motors,NOV EDS braking system & MD Totco Rigsense 3.0 Instrumentation and various AC motors and associated controls.Competent on the use of the Apache ISSOW permit & SAP systems.Carry out electrical Isolations as per Apache procedures up to 1000V AC & 750V DC.
