• Responsible for progressing pre-clinical programs in tau for Alzheimer’s Disease and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and synuclein for Multiple System Atrophy and Parkinson’s Disease toward clinical development.
• Coordinated an invitro immunodepletion system to rank anti-synuclein antibodies for clinical development including presentation of data and planning of path forward studies.
• Used liquid chromatography to isolate and track in vitro activity of the potential “transmissible” species that leads to the spread of tau in Alzheimer’s Disease and synuclein in Parkinson’s Disease.
• Identified several “inducers” causing tau pathology in an invitro assay system which were used to screen antibodies for potential clinical development.

• Responsible for biomarker discovery and development for programs moving from pre-clinical to clinical development.
• Successfully identified a toxicity biomarker for γ-secretase inhibitor program for Alzheimer’s Disease. The biomarker was patented and used in the clinical development program for BMS-708163, a γ-secretase inhibitor.
• Worked in a matrix team to develop Deuterium pulse-labeling of CSF proteins in rat, dog, and human. Assay used in human experimental medicine study to evaluate CSF protein labeling kinetics.
• Awarded for cross-functional team participation to develop toxicity biomarkers for Alzheimer’s therapeutic.
• Mentored and trained other scientists on molecular and biochemical techniques.

• Supported mechanism of action studies for γ-secretase inhibitors and Aβ modulators for Alzheimer’s Disease.
• Developed an immunoprecipitation protocol to look at the effects of Aß modulators via mass spec and by western blotting and used the method to verify that Aβ modulators show a differential cleavage of amyloid precursor.
• Developed a primary cell screening platform for evaluation of γ-secretase inhibitors.
