I am an accomplished Senior Project Manager within highly regulated industries including nuclear and defence. I have been responsible for leading multi discipline projects involving Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil & Structural and Heating & Ventilation. I am currently working with cavendish nuclear delivering a programme of key infrastructure design packages within a defence framework. Prior to this I lead a team working on developing decommissioning strategies for EDF energy in preparation for the end of generation of the existing fleet of reactors. Previously, I completed the Commissioning and Handover of the new CO2 Plant at Hunterston B. This project had been ongoing for several years and I was brought in specifically to expedite the completion of the project and Commissioning to facilitate handover into claimed operational service. The project had faced many challenges over the years and it was crucial that it was delivered in order to mitigate one of the highest risks to the station.Previously I worked at Sizewell B Power Station as a Project Manager on the Dry Fuel Store Project. This is the most significant investment Project for EDF Energy (circa £180million) in recent years out with Nuclear New Build. This project involved installation of a new nuclear fuel route within a live generating site in order to facilitate safe transportation and storage of spent nuclear fuel from a wet storage to a dry storage where it will remain for 100 years. This project is the first of its kind in the UK and had to be delivered within an extremely challenging environment, liaising and reporting regularly with the Office of Nuclear Regulation (ONR).I have a track record for safely delivering projects to time and schedule constraints within highly regulated and challenging environments. Key to my success is my understanding of the importance of development and maintaining of a Stakeholder Management Plan, building relationships of trust and dependability. I have proven consistently that I can deliver projects with safety at the forefront and a solid awareness & understanding of Earned Value Management, being fully accountable for the delivery of my Projects.
