In this role, I provided leadership across strategy, business development, capital planning, marketing / communications, innovation, analytics, new revenue development, provider recruitment, M&A, JVs, provider relations / sales, and real estate in a highly complex and matrixed organization, while reporting to the System CEO. I led teams of over 150 full-time employees and key leaders, including Chief Consumer & Marketing Officer, Service Line Vice Presidents, VPs of Business Development, VP of Real Estate Services, Director of Telehealth and Director of Strategic Market Development. Key highlights include:Provided STRATEGY LEADERSHIP through a structured and comprehensive planning processes that developed the organization’s vision, strategy and direction, including short- and long-term strategies for achieving goals. Led an innovative, progressive and transformational STRATEGIC MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION focus across the organization to support the growth goals and maximize internal and external key stakeholder engagement for strong brand recognition and reputation.Designed a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / CONSUMER-CENTRIC access and referral management approach to grow System brand and revenue, including new urgent care sites, ambulatory system configuration, strategic network partnerships, mergers and acquisitions and telehealth.Led SERVICE LINE model in which independent, employed and academic providers deployed centers of excellence in Emergency & Trauma services, Cardiovascular, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Oncology, Neurosciences, and Women’s Services. Operational responsibility included telestroke / telehealth, sports medicine program, system flight (CareFlight), EMS Institute, transportation and regional referral command center.Served on various boards and steering committees across the health system, affiliated entities, and physician joint ventures.
