After getting upset at Andy Gray for suggesting that a Barcelona team containing Lionel Messi would struggle on a Tuesday night against Stoke, I decided to pick up the keyboard – resist the temptation to throw it at the TV – and write my feelings and thoughts on why Mr Gray was wrong. The blog post was horrendously written and flouted all the rules of grammar but it was the starting point for a writing career that kept me out of trouble and helped me to make a little bit of money on the side.Away from my role as a Marketing Executive for Netgear, I write about either football or video games for a myriad of sites and publications. I've had words featured in The Guardian, Eurogamer, Nutmeg and my own site Pause Resume. I'm also currently in the process of attaining a degree in Creative Writing with the Open University.
