POSITION OBJECTIVESThe Finance Manager forms part of the MSF Sugar Agriculture Leadership Team and is responsible for the financial management of the farming operations, both operational & capital expenditure. Plans, and supports the achievement of the Agriculture team’s financial objectives through the preparation of farm operational and capital budgets and reforecasts in conjunction with Farm Supervisors and Operation Managers. Provides sound business analysis and reports to senior management Provides timely financial and capital reporting from farm level, to board level. Responsible for management of Farms Capital Expenditure Is responsible for management of assetsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Management of Capital Expenditure for: Agriculture – Maryborough, South Johnstone and Tableland Assist with preparation of Farms Capital Expenditure Authority forms when required Provide a weekly Farms Management Report and other information / advice as required for control of capital expenditure for: Maryborough Farms, Maryborough Lease Farms, South Johnstone Farms, South Johnstone Lease Farms, Tableland Farms Preparation of monthly Capital Report-Group for inclusion in Board Papers Maintain asset register for Farms additions, disposals and transfers. Provide asset information to the company’s Insurance & Systems Analyst Assist GM Agriculture with cost analysis models with Capital Project IRR Calculations. Prepare operational budgets (P&Ls) & Qrtly Reforecasts for all 5 farming operations. Collect and collate information from the Farm Supervisors and Operations Managers for preparation of operational budgets from the farm level up. Prepare capital budgets in consultation with Operations Managers for the farming operations. Review and presentation of farm business cost drivers during budget presentations. Updated monthly financial reports to be distributed to Farm Supervisors with commentary (actuals vs forecasts)
