As a division of Sobeys Inc. Needs Convenience is a leader in the convenience and fuel store market in Atlantic Canada headquartered in Stellarton, NS.As a Retail Counsellor I was responsible for all duties associated with providing management support, giving ongoing direction and acting as a resource and liaison between the company and the operators, for a network of stores.Duties include scoping out and finding new business opportunities and locations for new store builds, hiring and dismissing store operators, performing store audits and overseeing that the store conditions for 18 location in NS, NB and PEI are at the highest standard.Within the position I have also created various tracking tools for programs. These files are created using excel and are used to gauge and track performance by the stores for different business generating programs. I am responsible for presenting the results to upper management and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement. Presentations are done to upper management and also to the entire Needs Convenience group of operators consisting of 160+ persons.
