I obtained my degree in Business Administration and began work at Wolverhampton City PCT, fell into Procurement but had a 'knack' for it quickly developing and becoming MCIPS qualified whilst rapidly working myself up the ladder within The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust achieving promotion 4 times all of which happening during difficult and stressful times of cost cuts and increased savings targets and pressure. I have always worked for the NHS and have significant experience both at operational and managerial level within Public Sector Procurement working both on my own, as part of a large team and leading a team. Working with regional organisations such as Health Trust Europe, West Midlands Alliance and now with multiple CCGs on a consultancy basis. I have experience in large scale, very high value projects and am comfortable in leading within this setting and reporting to multiple Senior Management and Board level accordingly. These are stressful times for procurement but they also present opportunities for us to demonstrate how fundamental we are to the wellbeing of any organisation and i used this setting to show what we could do and achieve all targets set time after time thus retaining customer confidence and satisfaction.
