Reconfiguring health economy across Birmingham, Black Country and now also Stafford & Lancashire following our recent merger. Projects are very high value and involve multiple CCGs - typical values range from £1m to £120m projects and involve multiple complexities and considerations meaning significant planning and stakeholder engagement is required. I lead on each of the processes and am directly accountable for the achievement of the objectives. Projects i have recently worked on or are currently working on are Phlebotomy across Birmingham, Mental Health across Sandwell, the Reconfiguration of Urgent Care across Dudley, Wolverhampton and Sandwell and Anti-Coagulation across the City of Birmingham to name a few.

I led a team of Procurement professional's and was directly accountable for their performance. I was responsible for the planning, achievement and reporting to Senior Management for the departments Cost Improvement targets for the Medical & Surgical division which accounted for a circa £60m spend and targets in excess of 12% against influenceable spend. My position involved working closely with Clinicians and Senior Management to identify opportunities and then to take those through to fruition and meet expected targets - i had to report progress against these targets on a bi-weekly basis and where there was any shortfall i had to report reasons why and present contingencies to get back on track.
