The Test Materials Centre (TMC) is the division within James Heal that manufactures and supplies the test materials that are used in conjunction with James Heal Testing instruments. My role is to manage this department, ensuring that operations are running in a smooth and professional manner, overseeing process improvments & NPD, whilst maintaining an exceptional standard of quality.My secondary role is to have technical responsibility for any equipment manufactured by James Heal that is used for colour fastness testing. Assisting in the development and testing of such equipment to ensure an excellent user experience and full compliance with all of the relevant national and international test standards.

I was part of the specialised team working with the DigiEye systems for digital colour assessment. My role was to understand the colour quality control requirements of new and exisitng customers and to implement the system in to their processes to improve colour management,I have project managed several sales in to market leading companies such as McCain Foods, P&G, Nestle & Heinz as well as numerous other blue chip companies.My work spread over a variety of industry sectors including textile, cosmetics, automotive, plastics and food. I have gained valuble experience in colour QC and have travelled globally with the system educating companies in how they can improve their current methods.

Total management of the LACE (LAboratory, Correlation & Evaluation) Scheme. Including implementation of quality systems, on site accreditation and management of the quarterly correlation exercises (TEPS)

Fabric testing, both fastness and physical. Also responsible for specialist testing and implementing new methods. Also held role as a LACE accreditor before becoming scheme manager.

Responsible for lab to bulk recipes and 'right first time' blind dyeing. Also took charge of 5 man production shifts.
