As part of the international staff, I was assigned as a lifeguard to work on one of two beach fronts at the biggest Jewish camp in America. With over 600 kids over two sessions, time in this remote part of Michigan was extremely challenging. Starting and finishing late was part of the rewarding day to day schedule. Seeing kids develop their skills, especially around water sports, was extremely rewarding, bonding, and building a team became second nature. Knowing that I truly impacted and helped kids have “the best summer of their lives” will stay with me forever.

As part of the management team at The Woodhouse, my responsibilities mainly consisted of overseeing the restaurant area of business. Ensuring the team were providing an unforgettable experience and service with amazing food.

Ministry of Sounds is a world-renowned brand, while with Ministry I was responsible for helping with event organisation, sales and marketing of a variety of events within London under umbrella brands and that of Ministry of Sound.The social media campaigns and relations with London’s universities were key to event success. While social media was the main driving force of the brand, there also a focus on print, events and video to increase interest in the Ministry of Sound brand and events.

Tinker Smiths was a brand-new business venture that I had the honour of getting up and running. In the short period of time that I managed the business, I recruited a team of 35 people, implemented customer-facing self-service systems, a real first for the town that created a real marketing differentiation. The biggest accolade to the bar was its team and the fun working environment. This showed in our staff retention, customer reviews, and repeat business. The business went on to being awarded Town Centre Bar of the Year 2016 while under my management and was on track to turn over more than a million pounds in its first year of trading.
