Here’s my story, thus far:During University, I spent two summers working at a US summer camp.When I got back I decided to write a book about my experiences. In late 2012, thanks to writing the book I landed a marketing job a student travel firm based in Manchester.A short 18 months later, I co-founded a digital marketing agency, Nothing But Epic. We became locally known because of a few flagship case studies and also for using a horses head as our logo. We even had custom horse head business cards to match!🤦🏼‍♂️We then raised investment out of that business to build a tech platform that went on to become its own entity, named Padoq. I exited both companies back in March 2019. I decided to consult for 12 months until I found my next big idea.I then spotted a gap in the market for a premium lead generation brand in the utilities space. Switcheroo was born. During this time I spent two years living abroad, mostly in Dubai. 🇦🇪In September 2022 I sold my equity stake in Switcheroo. It was earlier than originally planned but I remain their biggest supporter. After taking a six month break, I fell into a role at challenger broadband company, YouFibre. I’m now firmly on a mission to support hyper-growth as we hone in on 500k active customers within the next 24 months. I learned to hack air-mile schemes to fly business class for free.🎶 I’m a complete novice, (bedroom only) music producer. I took up the hobby after my most recent exit. ⚽️ Part-time Nottingham Forest fan. It’s a lot easier to follow them now that they’re actually on TV!🔪I’m the son and grandson of butchers. Which now makes me the disappointment in the family. 🌍 There’s nothing more enjoyable to me than exploring new countries and experiencing different cultures. I’ve been super lucky to work, live and travel all over the world. 🦮 I have a serious soft spots for golden retrievers, old people, first time founders and outdoor cooking. I’m yet to meet someone who ticks all four of those boxes, but I live in hope. 📈 As much as family will always comes first. I do absolutely love business. For some, it may just be a means to earn a living.
