The Payette Land Trust (PLT) is dedicated to the conservation of open spaces in Long Valley Idaho and its surrounding areas. It is the purpose of the Payette Land Trust to acquire, accept, maintain and manage lands in Long Valley and its surrounding areas in Central Idaho for the creation and perpetuation of open spaces. The unique character of the regions is created by its pristine rivers and streams, lush meadows, alpine lakes, forested mountains and family farms and ranches. The Land Trust is committed to conserving the natural beauty by providing a mechanism for private land conservation in perpetuity. This goal will be accomplished by the acquisition of property interests, by gift or purchase.

Hired as a private contractor (yearly contract) for the purpose of supplying project consulting services to the Sand County Foundation’s Leopold Conservation Award Program in Nebraska. Duties included:• Create a detailed timeline of important benchmarks for the Yearly Nebraska Leopold Conservation Award (LCA) in conjunction with LCA partners and share with all concerned.• Coordinate the solicitation of high quality nominees for the yearly LCA through multiple media sources.• Identify, solicit, and secure sponsorship pledges for the LCA (with emphasis on a multi-year commitments) that total $30,000.• Coordinate logistics of the LCA judging panel meeting and ensure that the LCA recipient is a credit to the award.• Organize a high profile press event to announce the recipient involving the Governors office. • Coordinate the Presentation of the Award at the Annual Nebraska Cattlemen’s Convention banquet

Firefighter type I, Incident Commander Type 4, Helicopter Manager, Engine Boss, Type I Helibase Manager Re-hired seasonally as a member of the Krassel Heli-Rappeller crew. A sixteen-member crew trained in helicopter rappelling from a Bell 407 ship(‘07-‘11) A-Star B2 (’12-13) A-Star B3 (14-17). Responsibilities include participating in wildland fire suppression and monitoring activities, both locally and nationally, as well as care and maintenance of the remote facility. Collaborated extensively with senior U.S. Forest Service personnel, Krassel Helitack crew, and other local fire crews to develop and execute fire management procedures including preventative work, aggressive firefighting, fire containment and monitoring.

Hired as a member of the ATO Cargo handling team responsible for shipping and receiving cargo transported via military C-17 and LC-130 aircraft on and off the Continent of Antarctica. Duties included:• Building cargo onto USAF pallets, calculating the proper restraint needed to safely secure the load.• Loading and unloading the Military C-17 and LC-130 aircraft.• Operating Heavy equipment, such as Case 950,935, IT28 Loaders and Forklifts• Driving 5 ton semi-tractor trailers, Foremost 6 wheel-drive Deltas, and Case 6-wheel drive Kress vehicle.• Receiving and delivering inbound cargo to any and all departments on station.• Driving and working in sever and challenging weather conditions.

E-Z GOIN RANCH, Ainsworth, NE November 1993-April 2006 Owner/Operator Owned and managed 300 cow/calf ranch operation on 2,800 acres that generated $150,000 annual revenue having a net worth of 1.2 million dollars.• Raised and managed cattle herd from birth to sale. Included animal welfare, care, feeding and breeding. Repaired and maintained facilities and all capital equipment, including; four tractors, three trucks, 20 miles of fence, 2 homes, two barns, one outbuilding and several windmills. Responsible for all company business decisions regarding the ranch as well as day-to-day business operations including; capital equipment purchases; livestock sales, purchasing, promotion, annual business tax reporting and ongoing management of financial accounting.

Membership Field Staff Actively recruited private ranch owners and managers for membership in 5,000 membership organization and served as local representative at national conferences. • Responsible for growing membership annually, regularly communicating association policy and decisions to members, collecting membership dues and addressing and resolving members’ concerns. Attended National Cattleman’s conference annually to represent the Nebraska chapter. Attended committee meetings, voted on behalf of state association, and reported back to chapter staff and members on the discussions and decisions made at the conference.
