My passion is helping people understand the natural world and how it works. Simultaneously, I also hope to shed a little light on the process of science. Once we understand science, we have a new perspective for solving problems. Once we understand the natural world we see that we are neither above or separate from nature, but rather, we are an integral component of the natural world. These two perspectives are what I hope my students carry with them into the future. I continue to learn about nature alongside the scientific community and alongside my students. I look forward to continuing that journey again this semester, my 30th year of science teaching!
