I lead a high performance leasing team which has delivered industry leading FY22 results.Initially engaged to get the Greenhills Shopping Centre re-development into a feasible position for a $450 million development. Prior to my engagement Stockland had attempted to get the development up and running for 7 years. I delivered an outcome in 7 months with a strategy that involved a centre re-design optimising trade and rental income. Greenhills is now Stockland's premium retail asset trading above research and internal projections.Under my leasing management the centre grew from 35,000 sqm GLA and 80 shops to now 75,000 sqm GLA and 220 shops trading at over $620 million and specialty sales over $11,500 psm (as of Nov 2022).2018 promoted to Regional Leasing Manager and took on an increased portolio of shopping centres including Greenhills, SEQ, Glendale and Shellharbour / National Projects Manager with $1billion + pipeline incuding Aura Town Centre a $350 million greenfield redevelopment situated within the $5 billion Aura masterplan community on the Sunshine Coast, M Park retail podium $500 million development, Cloverton Town Centre in Victoria and 4 small supermarket based centres and Aura Bulky Good Precinct.Stockland Green Hills was awarded “Best Shopping Centre Development”at Property Council of Australia’s (PCA) 2020 Innovation & Excellence Awards. The award was given after the successful redevelopment – the largest retail redevelopment undertaken by Stockland – and also the largest retail redevelopment to be completed in Australia in 2018.

Delieverd significantly reduced portfolio vacancies acknowledged as AMP's lowest historical level (during the GFC).Head hunted by AMP in 2007 to head up their development leasing of 42 shopping centres in Australia and New Zealand which had numerous high calibre centres due for redevelopment. In 2008 I became a member of the Senior Leadership Team reporting to the Managing Director and promoted to Head of Leasing liasing with Fund Managers + co-owners running the lease administration and a leasing team of 44 people across Australia and New Zealand.

Significant contribution to a team that signed 353 shops + kiosk tenants over several project stages for Westfield Bondi Junction considered one of Australia's premier assets.2002 Project Leasing and Development Eastgardens Shopping Centre including new level 3 and remixing of the centre resulting in rents substantially above budget + 100% leased and trading on Day 1.2002 / 2003 Leasing Manager Sydney Central and Centrepoint Sydney Shopping Centres until Northlakes Shopping Centre Stage 1 in Brisbane commenced. Successfully delivered Northlakes project 100% leased and trading on Day 1 with 90 shops, 2 supermarkets and a discount department store.2003 - 2005 Leasing Manager Bondi Junction development which included complete rebuild of a super regional centre which at the time was Westfield's largest development in terms of scale and cost.2005 - 2006 Heading up a major project teem with Westfiled and AMP involved in substantial partnership collaboration to redevelop Liverpool shopping centre. Conflict resolution skills used to navigate a delicate and strategic thought process as the partnership heads had different agendas. Successfully completed the project and moved into an operational regional leasing role responsible for Westfield's Western Sydney Assets + Miranda Shopping Centre.

Worked in the highly respected leasing team reporting to Peter Leslie, General Manager responsible for 8 shopping centres in four states (VIC, NSW, QLD, Tasmania).First 12 months of career worked on sub-regional assets and then given the opportunity to work on regional assets. In 2000 successfully delivered Frankston Town Centre and re-mixed Northland Shopping Centre resulting in a move to Brisbane to re-position the Myer Centre and development of Queens Plaza.Strategy to relocate major tenants and secure new tenants substantially increased the rental income and cap rate compression due to the new wale at the Myer Centre.In 2001 Gandal formed a strategic partnership with Colonial First State. I was promoted to a dual role in assisting the strategic directon of the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre whilst retaining existing retail client portfolio.
