I have been fortunate to work with client projects that have grown in scale and complexity, which includes managing projects in excess of $1,000,000.I embrace quality work, continuing education, learning from others, and being the best contractor I know how to be at the moment.Did you know that in the State of North Carolina, a general contractor must be licensed if the contract is valued at $40,000 or higher?In March 2013, I passed the National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies exam, allowing me to apply for and receive my State General Contractor's License.My company, NC Custom Builder, LLC, is classified by the state as a Building Contractor, which covers all building construction and demolition activities, including both residential and commercial projects.There are three levels of license limitations: Limited, Intermediate, and Unlimited. The holder of an Intermediate license is entitled to act as a general contractor for any single project with a value of up to $1,500,000, excluding the cost of land and any ancillary costs to improve the land.Continuing education is required to remain a licensee with the state. Eight hours of continuing education must be completed each year to renew a license. Show less
