• Plan weekly / monthly production schedules.• Ensuring that all bespoke beds are made according to customer requirements and made to a very high standard.• Reduce wasted labour, re-working of products (right first time) and reduce throughput time. Improving efficiency in all areas.• Implement quality control checks throughout complete production stages to ensure errors or fabric issues are caught before items are given to skilled personnel for finishing.• Continual product development with in-house CAD design team which I manage.• Implement and maintain health and safety practices in all areas ensuring PPE is used.• Setting and driving KPI’s.• Implement and utilise lean principles to improve manufacturing techniques across production using 5s, Six Sigma and kanban’s.• Manage the operation of Savior’s recent investment, a Biesse CNC machine for headboard and leg production. Read and interpret CAD drawings that go along with this.• Cost any bespoke items to showrooms for clients.• Carry out site surveys at client’s properties for access; take accurate measurements / templates for non-standard special products.• Continual reviewing and updating of risk assessments in place. Implement and maintain changes.• Keeping good staff morale between employees.• Manage holidays, overtime and time off for 30+ staff members.• Staff recruitment, follow and maintain company disciplinary procedures and grievances policies.As the production manager at Savoir beds working alongside my team, we continuously improve on the number of product produced every week reducing the throughput time and the amount of errors. This continues to improve as we adapt our lean processes that have been put in place and continuously implement improvements. I have also trained some of my team in other areas of production so that I have the flexibility to utilise their skills where the business needs.

Supply• Order and maintain inventory ensuring that we always had the correct levels of stock and no shortages.• Liaise with suppliers about current and new products, costs, timings etc.• Meet with current and new suppliers to ensure we are getting the best products on the market at a good price. Update them on any issues we have had with the product or service.• Reporting of any discrepancies, damages, faults to suppliers so replacements or credit can be issued.• Make sure a monthly stock take was completed efficiently and correctly to ensure monthly figures are correct using Sage.• Order stock using Sage, ensuring that PO’s are correct and sent through on time.• Ensure that each department had the tools and equipment required for their jobs.Logistics• Liaise with customers regarding delivery requirements for their orders worldwide.• Plan efficient routes for company vehicle for daily deliveries. Book hotels, ferry’s if required.• Liaise with couriers / shippers regarding customer’s delivery requirements. Obtain quotes and organise the shipping of their orders.• Prepare all paperwork for daily deliveries, international deliveries and prepare export documents.• Oversee the packaging of international orders, i.e. wooden crates, shipping containers.• Maintain company vehicle. i.e. insure, tax and mot.• I have also had the opportunity to travel to many different countries to oversee installation of product for events and media coverage and installations for client’s homes.I was also responsible for the daily running and upkeep of the warehouse, quality control and also managed the customer service relations. If a complaint was raised by a client I would organise for a member of customer service team or myself to visit the client’s property to complete a full inspection. With this information I would liaise with the client regarding the findings and make the necessary arrangements to rectify if an issue was found.
