For 26 years, Living Rock has been providing youth-at-risk a place of belonging, safety and a bridge to the community, while supporting youth to develop a personal vision for their lives. Living Rock aids in the search for shelter; assists with food, clothing, and preparation for the future with consistent, caring support.Downtown Hamilton, Living Rock offers over 20 services, 7 days a week for youth to connect into for personal support regardless of gender, religious beliefs, and ethnicity. Living Rock prepares 900 meals a week and with over 20,000 youth visits to the Open Access Programs, youth are finding a place of safety and belonging, from the streetsSpecial Events:FirstOntario Credit Union presents Soupfest 11- Wednesday February 6th, 2013. Stiring-up support for Liivng Rock and youth-at-risk. Advanced tickets available at FirstOntario locations in Burlington and Hamilton Gala Dinner -The night is filled with stories from youth, information about programs and events, and presentations from a guest speaker. Arts of August: attracts over 500 people. Arts of August is a free, city-wide art initiative for youth in Hamilton and surrounding area. There is a network of youth programs and art organizations working in partnership to help facilitate this event, allowing street involved, homeless and New Comer youth, to work together with the community in creating a “culture of peace” in Hamilton. It is showcased at It’s Your Festival, a fashion show and a Grand Finale Arts Showcase.   Living Rock supports youth ages 13-25 who are at-risk of falling through the cracks in our community. Living Rock is responding to youth with a variety of risk factors such as poverty, mental illness, addictions and the disenfranchised. Together with the support generous partners and supporters Living Rock aims to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for youth to move beyond their circumstances with the right supports in place.Each year Living Rock Ministries responds to more than 20,000 youth visits. Living Rock seeks to ENGAGE youth where they are at, through meal programs, food bank and through safe and relevant social recreational programming. Living Rock ENCOURAGES youth through pre-natal and post-natal care, housing, one to one and crisis support. Living Rock EQUIPS youth for a brighter future through pre-employment and employment programs.
