Program Delivery Executive for IBM Blue Harmony Initiative. Leading the application integration effort for both the IBM Software Group and Server Group Divisions - as part of an enterprise transformation program to establish standardized operations for a Globally Integrated Enterprise (GIE) for IBM. This initiative will replace over 1100 legacy applications with a common SAP operational system - and will constitute the largest integrated software deployment in the history of the internal IBM account.

Successfuly delivered Deal Entity Management, a large scale systems integration project for the Integrated Supply Chain Division. Project required successful integration of business model driven application development effort with a broad set of supporting applications and business processes. 2008-2009 budget was $12M. Will lay foundation for expansion in IBM's ability to cross sell and up sell products across Hardware, Software, and Services organizations.

Mr. Barta led the overall E2E Delivery of Server and Technology Group Division’s Xccelerator Initiative, a 250M+ portfolio with unmatched complexity and scope within IBM. Acted as Release Manager, with overall responsibility for project management, systems engineering, data, test and deployment for the release. Led a 15+ member program office that managed the efforts of a 60+ member integration team, and coordinated the deliverables of 100+ application teams through an IGS director representative council.

Mr. Barta led an eight member PMO team in support of Server and Technology Group Division’s Touchless Order Initiative. Drove a portfolio of concurrent end-to-end projects to streamline and automate Server Group’s order fulfillment processes. Coordinated efforts of 30+ people across multiple team disciplines (project management, systems engineering, data management, test, business, and service delivery) and across 100+ application teams.

Mr. Barta drove the worldwide integration and coordination of development, test, and cutover plans and deliverables for 100+ applications across PCD. Resolved program-wide issues, and risks. Worldwide Development budget for 2001 was over $200M. He successfully delivered Release 1.1C for Asia/Pacific region in July, 2001, on time. Releases 1.2 & 1.3 and Sales Building Blocks were a worldwide releases, completing on schedule during 2002 and 2003.

Mr. Barta implemented advanced supply chain management solutions for Nortel Networks Corporation. Combined team size was 50 consultants and customers. He implemented two business releases representing $18M in total labor costs, each in extremely aggressive six-month timelines. Benefits included $71M 3-Year PV Cost Benefit, $110 Million one-time impact on cash flow and 13% increase in on-time deliveries. Customer satisfaction rating was "very satisfied" and led to repeat business. The first release was delivered on time, on budget. The second was on budget, with customer requested schedule delay.
