Joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1974 and spent 20+ years as a warfare specialist and navigation sub-specialist. Navigated patrol boat, destroyer escort, frigate, destroyer and refuelling classes of ships, culminating in passing the last Royal Navy Navigation Sea Check in the UK (PWO N+) to serve as the RAN Fleet Navigation Officer, OIC Navigation School and Senior Naval Representative in South Australia. Then joined JLB (www.jlb.com.au) in 1995 and led management systems consulting in quality, environmental, OHS, food safety and asset management systems. Started TQCSI (www.tqcsi.com), which has become one of the world's leading management systems certification bodies. TQCSI now has 7,000+ certifications in 40+ countries managed by 30+ Regional Offices.Both, TQCSI and JLB, have established a joint venture with Yaran Business Services, to form TQCSI-Yaran and JLB-Yaran. TQCSI-Yaran and JLB-Yaran are Indigenous based companies, certified by Supply Nation, providing Indigenous companies and organisations wishing to engage an Indigenous based company with the services offered by TQCSI and JLB.
