• Acts as the central point for the communication process - both internally and externally. • Guides proposal teams in developing the pursuit strategy ‑ Acts in a strategic sales role—from pre-proposal to oral presentation stages—to identify client needs and benefits to the intended client, recognize key decision-makers, identify win themes that differentiate the organization from the competition, create messages that will be compelling to the expected audience, and brainstorm solutions to the project’s challenges. • Leads and collaborates with the proposal development team ‑ Manages team members (of various specialties and at various levels of seniority) to develop responses to the potential client’s needs, researches and gathers information, and collaborates with the graphic design team to develop visual themes. • Manages and coaches teams for oral presentations ‑ Leads strategy sessions, determines speaking roles and messages, leads preparatory sessions, performs team and one-on-one coaching, and works with the design team to develop print and multimedia presentation materials. • Debriefs teams after pursuits ‑ Interviews team members on successful or unsuccessful strategies and tactics, shares results as appropriate, and refines future pursuit strategies and training. Acts as a liaison with pursuit sponsors, partners, managers, and research specialists to provide pursuit teams with the full range of resources available through the marketing and communications program.• Contributes to the development of the organization’s pursuit team ‑ Collaborates with other pursuit team members, designs positive teambuilding, conducts training, continuously refines and improves pursuit strategies, and accurately tracks pursuits. • Leads social media efforts - ensures social media strategy aligns with corporate mission and positions the organization as an industry leader.
