The Schools of McKeel Academy is a three-school charter system with over 200 employees that work together to educate more than 3000 students. As a proven leader in technology-infused classroom learning, the schools are constantly upgrading and improving their IT services.As the ITPM in a medium-sized organization, Black’s role is a healthy mix of management, project management, departmental liaison, technology evangelist, network engineering, and Apple ecosystem specialist. Black:• Leads, coaches and motivates IT staff members,• Creates and adheres to capital and operational budgets,• Maintains Digital Classroom Plans,• Consults other department heads as an advisor of technology adoption,• Ensures IT services align with the needs of the Organization,• Accepts responsibility for IT service and project results,• Coordinates with outside vendors,• Generates excitement at all levels of the school system by promoting the benefits of technology adoption,• Facilitates the definition of project missions, goals, tasks and resource requirements, and• Elicits cooperation from administrative, instructional and technology staff members.On the technical-side, Black:• Manages the Apple Volume Purchase Program, Device Enrollment Program and Apple School Manager portal,• Deploys and leverages various Mobile Device Management services (Apple Profile Manager, VMWare AirWatch, and Cisco Meraki Systems Manager),• Designs, implements, and manages campus and intercampus networking, including:---• Wireless Access (Ruckus Wireless),---• DHCP and DNS services (Linux CentOS and OS X Server),---• RADIUS Authentication (OpenRADIUS),----------• MAC Address VLAN tagging.---• Switching + STP + 802.3ad (Dell PowerConnect),---• VLAN and Intercampus Routing, and---• UTM and NGFW services (FortiGate) including:----------• Web and L7 Application Filtering,----------• Site-to-Site and Client-to-Site VPN (IPSEC (IKEV 1&2) & L2TP)----------• Intrusion Detection / Prevention.

South McKeel Academy, a member of The Schools of McKeel Academy, is a charter school which provides an exceptional education to students in grades PreK - 7. Their emphasis on the needs of 21st century learners provides the perfect environment for disruptive technologies. • Planned and executed the campus-wide transition of 70 instructional personnel from Microsoft Windows to the Apple OS X and iOS platforms. • Planned and coordinated the expansion of student devices from 350 in 2009, to 800 current devices, including 40 OS X and 190 iOS devices. • Planned and executed the transition of network infrastructure from Windows Server to Linux (ClearOS) and OS X (10.6 & 10.8) Servers. • Managed and optimized workflows associated with the integration of iPads into classrooms. • Tracked assets, including licenses associated with Apple’s Volume Purchase Program (VPP). • Leveraged the entire Apple ecosystem, including OS X Server, to provide solutions to the needs of the campus. • Assessed knowledge needs of the staff and produce targeted training materials, including, tutorial videos and PDFs, and self-paced training websites. • Monitored and improved wireless network access and performance.

Verizon's launch of its FiOS TV, Internet and Phone services was successful due in part to the success of the door-to-door sales campaign provided by 2020 Companies. Through a healthy mix of purpose-driven and quota-driven sales, working on this campaign taught the power of teamwork and the rewards of hard-work. • Cold-calling, door-to-door sales of TV, Internet and telephone services. • Recruited, trained and managed a team of 12 sales people. • Tracked and projected team revenue on a weekly basis. • Provided market-wide training sessions for new recruits, through in-class sessions with personally developed training materials.

Independently learned the essentials of the Linux, Apache, mySQL and PHP (L.A.M.P.) stack to create an internal inventory system for campus computers.
