Following the acquisition of my startup Soundwave, I joined the Growth organisation to work on the free mobile offering and to help grow the MAU base around the world. I played a central role in the launch of the New Free Tier which significantly increased retention metrics amongst Spotify's free audience.

As a result our small team of 10 achieved a lot:-- Soundwave was downloaded in over 180 countries by millions of users. - Our product received numerous awards from Apple and Google- We were granted patents from the US and EU patent offices for our innovative technology.Key Takeaway: It's never too early to start. Everyone is making it up as they go along so you might as well become a founder at a young age and roll the dice.

It's not really about the product though. It's mostly about growth and customer acquisition which was less interesting to me.
