Reporting to the CIO, I was responsible for strategy, roadmap, development and 2nd/3rd line support of the entire suite of applications used by Virgin Atlantic and I deliver this through a team of around 100 people. This includes managing the Passenger Service System (PSS) which controls reservations, ticketing and airport departure control, the Crew Logistics platforms which manage the rostering of 4,000 cabin and flight crew, the Engineering maintenance application suite, and all payroll, HR, finance, revenue management and revenue accounting systems.
