Responsible for developing, implementing and managing inbound digital marketing campaigns in Google AdWords and Facebook to promote and advertise content and ClickMaven services. Implemented an outbound strategy and used ABM to pitch to prospective clients. Researched and compiled data on best suited companies to target in South Africa and used ABM to nurture these prospects. Played a major role in driving traffic to the ClickMaven website through content marketing and PPC. Used CRO and Marketing Automation technologies to capture and convert prospects. Used audience targeting and PII to improve performance media and our overall CPA.

Using both digital and tradition marketing activities to streamline our efforts to nurture and attract potential clients. Branding ClickMaven was a major player in our marketing strategy in 2016. ClickMaven rebranded and getting our name top of mind was crucial. During my internship at ClickMaven I was exposed to everything digital. I learned how to set up a Google AdWords account using the Google Search and Display Networks. I now understand Google Analytics and am able set up conversion tracking. I can set up a PPC ad campaign and learned project and client account management skills. I learned how to design and publish landing pages using Unbounce and HubSpot. Through all the knowledge and hard work I put in I was able to pass the Quirk Digital Marketing Accreditation Exam first time.

Upon completing my Business Science Degree in Marketing I found myself in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and working at Urban Outfitters. There I demonstrated sales leadership by setting an example to all members of the selling team and reinforcing the selling culture of the company. Interacting with clients and customers to enhance the quality and high standards of Urban Outfitters. I communicated clear expectations and held store teammates accountable to achieving all brand, performance and behavior standards. I recognized customer service issues in a timely manner and partnered with my Store Managers to develop goals. I executed any merchandising and sales needs as directed by store management. I executed specific goals of sales and stock specifics as outlined by store management team. It was an experience that really echoed the value of networking and forming strong relationships in order to increase sales. In marketing to identify and then satisfy the need of a customer is vital.

During my second to last summer at Gannon University I was given the opportunity to intern with a local company who sold educational software to school districts in Pennsylvania and neighbouring states. I was able to join Tech Excellence sales personal on sales presentations and sales pitches. I got to sit in on board room meetings and got a sense of the sales world and how to effectively propose a product to potential clients. I conducted follow up calls, follow up emails, and tracked sales pipelines of the company. I worked with Constant Contact email program to reach out to prospects via email marketing. It was a fast paced three months which taught me the determination and never give up attitude of a sales person.

Christchurch, New Zealand

Upon completing my matric at Westville Boys High School I decided to take a gap year and go and work across the world in New Zealand at an all boys boarding school, Christ's College. Leaving the nest at a young age did me the world of good in terms of life experience and development. It was almost a case of sink or swim in that I was put out in the big wide world to fend for myself, and I relished the opportunity. My basic duties were to assist teachers with filing, photocopying, mail runs, and course work. I coached sports such as rugby, cricket and soccer. I supervised students for meal time attendance and assisted with homework and course assignments. I was also given the opportunity to assist in marketing the school’s name at local sporting and cultural events. Through these experiences I was able to develop vital life skills that have shaped me into the person I am today. It was an experience not for the faint-hearted and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone caught on the fence.
