• I provided oversight the WIOA youth program. I worked with youth ages 14 to 24 in their goals to complete education and find gainful employment and to become successful adults.• Provided ongoing career counseling to 30-40 youth with barriers to employment through the Workforce Investment Oppertunity Act (WIOA) by utilizing various career assessment tools, current labor market information and employment trends• Represented the Department of Workforce Services in various planning committees and community partnering groups including: Tooele Technical College, Deseret Industries, LDS Employment Services and TIPP (Tooele Interagency Prevention Professionals)• Maintained all of the WIOA follow up cases for the entire Wasatch front which generally totaled over 500 individual customers.• Pell Grant liaison for students applying to attend college courses.• Employee of the Quarter Jul-Sep 2015

• Determined initial and ongoing eligibility for several government programs including: SNAP (Food Stamps), Medicaid, Financial and Child Care. • Worked the front counter of a large employment center in Downtown Salt Lake. As the face of the center I was the first point of contact for anyone handing in Applications or documentation for many government programs. • First point of contact for those needing to meet with one of over a dozen counselors.• Manned the phone center taking all incoming calls for the center and forwarded calls to the appropriate destination.• Ran the business office where we issued food Stamp cards and took payments for Spenddowns on medical programs. I also deposited the money for the center.• Responsible for moving and inventorying all equipment and furniture in the center.• Started a Newsletter for the center including articles from management, calendar items and games to increase morale. • Headed up the Charitable Funds Committee, increasing donations in the office to a level never before reached. • Employee of the Month for the entire center after just 4 months of employment (Oct 2003).
