Nutritional Therapy is a new form of nutritional counseling rooted in the wisdom of traditional diets. As such it is an alternative to grain-based, low-fat diets that are causing widespread sickness. Nutritional Therapists promote diets centered around real foods grown sustainably from small, independent food producers. I work with people privately to address their health issues such as weight loss, digestive disorders and mental health issues. I offer a free 50 minute initial consultation to everyone to explore working together. This includes phone consults as well.I also teach a 12 week group weight loss program called Get at the Roots. This program is an educational program that teaches class members how to eat for long term health. Therefore it is an alternative to calorie-restriction programs which sacrifice health for short term weight loss.Finally, I am also a certified GAPS practitioner. GAPS stands for Gut And Psychology Syndrome. It is a nutrition program designed by a British doctor, Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride that recognizes the important connection between gut health and mental health.
