Responsible for continued design and implementation of the TecumsehPower Engine Group networks (LANs and WANs). Responsible for creation of network, desktop, and email security policy, procedure, and protocols for the Tecumseh Engine group. Major projects included:Reduced company's security risks and improved response time to security events by implementing Linux-based SNORT servers for intrusion monitoring and notification.Reduced security risk and increased infrastructure visibility by implementing centralized syslog server with Splunk reporter/data mining package.Reduced security risks and coverage lapses by implementing training programs for remote site local administrators focusing on security best practices and auditing. Created and designated backup roles for all major IT administrator functions across the Engine group.Reduced security risks from internal and social engineered attacked by implementing scheduled and non-scheduled computer, network, and user audits. Led project team and reduced times and costs related to document retention and searches by implementing Symantec Enterprise Vault 2008. Reduced risks and liability by providing training to company legal staff in use of Symantec Discovery Accelerator. Project was finished on time and under budget.Finally, worked until close of business operations for TecumsehPower Company ensuring an orderly shutdown of company IT center and smooth transition of data and infrastructure to various parties of interest.

Responsible for the day to day design, implementation, and maintaining of the TecumsehPower Engine Group network infrastructure. Managed a team of five Network Administrators at our remote domestic locations. Responsible for maintaining, configuring, and reviewing all network hardware (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, etc) throughout the TecumsehPower Engine group Network. Responsible for administration and management of the company wide email system. Continued to support the Grafton location network in an administrative fashion specializing in networking, security, and email issues. * Led project team in implementing Lotus Domino Upgrade from version 6.5 to version 7. Reduced server footprint and decreased maintenance costs by consolidating obsolete and redundant mail servers during the upgrade. Project finished on time and under budget.* Improved administrative efficiency and inter-site data sharing by transitioning Grafton location and four other remote sites from a mixed Novell/Windows environment to a homogenous Windows domain infrastructure. * Led project to design and implement modern WAN. Reduced costs significantly by moving from dedicated point to point T1s to a Verizon-hosted MPLS network. * Reduced security risks by implementing and managing our company's Checkpoint Firewall.* Led project to roll out Domino Lotus Notes as our enterprise collaboration package. Provided training to remote site administrators and created all user documentation. Reduced support load by designing and teaching Notes and PC fundamentals in user oriented classes at each site on a semi-annual basis.* Implemented network upgrade project, installing fiber backbone and moving to a switched network environment resulting in vastly increased bandwidth and efficiency throughout the Grafton PlantReduced complexity and down time by re-cabling LAN building-wide, installing proper racking, patch panels and data/telephone jacks.

Provided day-to-day administration of the local Grafton LAN and server infrastructure. Provided user support, break/fix, and installation/setup of all server and end user IT equipment. Responsible for management of the Grafton email domain.
