I work for various museums and film productions as a historical consultant and technical advisor. I am also available for lectures and speaking engagements on various historical topics and interests.

The Tippecanoe County Historical Association oversees and operates the Tippecanoe Battlefield of 1811, the battlefield museum, a separate genealogy center, a re-constructed Colonial Blockhouse site, and a large Native American and Colonial Trading Post archaeological park. The organization is also host to the "Feat of the Hunter's Moon" every fall. It is the largest annual living history festival in the mid-west attracting more than 40,000 visitors each year.

The Mill at Anselma is a National Landmark site. The main feature is a fully restored c. 1747 Mill that is fully operational. This beautiful historic site sits on 23 acres and includes a circa 1870 Miller's house and post office, a Colonial era Spring House, and restored 19th Century Carriage House and Chicken Coop that has been converted into a small education center for children. I resigned my position there in May of 2015 in order to help take care of my father who had terminal cancer.

I oversaw the collections and exhibits at two museums: The Carson Valley History Museum and Cultural Center in Gardnerville, and the 1865 Douglas County Courthouse in Genoa (Nevada's first city).

This museum is a Gold Rush and Mining Museum on three acres with a multiple building campus with over 35,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor exhibits.

This large museum dedicated to General George Patton, who founded and commanded the Desert Training Center to train troops for the invasion of North Africa and on which the museum is located, includes a large tank yard with multiple tanks both operational and static from various wars and a large museum with exhibits that span from World War I through the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is visited by more than 35,000 visitors a year. I had to resign my position in order to relocate to Lake Tahoe, Nevada where my wife had taken a new job.

I am a former officer (Captain) and Chief Military Historian for the South Carolina State Guard attached to the History Detachment assigned to Headquarters Command based out of the Olympis Armory in Columbia, SC.

My company performed historical consulting in all areas related to history from museum consulting, exhibits design, historic house restorations, documentary films, genealogical research, and more. The motto of our company is "The Purpose of History is a Better World." We worked with museums and historic sites across the Southeastern United States.

I was the director of education and research at Drayton Hall in Charleston, SC, which is owned and operated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. I was in charge of all interpretation at the site as well as the training and supervising of interpretive staff. My department was also responsible for all school and educational programming, collections, archaeology, and various special projects.
