Contribute to the effective running of the Faculty’s experimental laboratories and provide a range of technical practical services and support to academic staff and students. Provide technical support as required in workshops and laboratories giving specialist support in areas of expertise.Undertake the operation of a range of testing machinery, laboratory equipment and instrumentation for the manufacture and testing of concrete for teaching, student projects. Prepare laboratories and workshops for practical classes undertaking the operation and demonstration of equipment and machinery as required. Undertake repair and maintenance of equipment and machinery including fault finding and rectification. Contributes to the installation and commissioning of equipment and machinery in laboratories and workshops. Contributes to the design, development and modification of plant, machinery and instrumentation. Undertakes general Health and Safety supervision of students using laboratories and workshops ensuring safe methods of working in accordance with Statutory and University requirements. Monitor and control the use of equipment and materials for authorised students and staff. Contributes to arrangements for and participates in Faculty Open Days and other events and activities as required.

Collect and deliver goods to customers and suppliers of Warwick Print, including internal departments, students and external companies; ensuring that all agreed service level collection and delivery times are adhered to.Duties and Responsibilities:• Ensuring that all work is kept securely when collecting and delivering, especially in the case of exam papers and other confidential documentation. • Transport and return proof copies, checking sign off with the customer when required. • Deliver promotional items to departments as part of a stock call off service whilst maintaining accurate stock levels. • Providing outstanding customer service by using my excellent communication skills with all stakeholders via telephone, email and face to face interactions.• Carry out duties within University health & safety guidelines.• Using Warwick Print’s management information system I process delivery notes and update electronic records for all customer jobs. • Ensure the fleet of vans are maintained in good working order (tyres, oil, water, wiper blades), advising the Production Manager of any problems, updating mileage records and submitted to the Production Manager on a weekly basis.

Organise and facilitate the arrival, distribution, preparation and movement of 100’s of JLR vehicles per day. Daily tasks:• Daily stock checks, cataloguing and inventory of vehicles. Including receiving, collecting, checking, allocation and storage of vehicle stock.• Allocation of vehicle keys, documentation and job packs. • Undertaking health and safety checks of all external contractors (drivers) on site.• Collecting vehicles for transportation and storage of vehicles on site.• Using an electronic system called Aucustrate Gefco and JLR work together to organise and prioritise workload/vehicle selection. • Driving and Re-fuel of vehicles; working as part of a large team in synergy with JLR and Gefco shift patterns.

An additional project I was responsible for was the restoration and maintenance of the universities historic vehicles (e.g. 1930’s Lanchester Car’s)… this is an ongoing project.
