I was responsible for all technical aspects of Makr including the implementation of custom UI, a Ruby/Grape/Postgres based API with local Core Data cache and data syncing across devices, extensive graphic manipulation using Core Graphics with vector and raster images, Dropbox and Amazon S3 integration, and a flexible and extensible architecture to ease implementation of new features and which ensures efficient use of devices resources for this graphics heavy app.Makr was an Editor's Choice selection in the app store when first released in November, 2013.Also responsible for maintaining Martha Stewart CraftStudio, an iPad app which allows users to create greeting cards using crafting tools. Updates to this app have included a custom in-app purchase implementation with server-side logic to replace Urban Airship, an in-app messaging system allowing Happy to communicate with app users without notifications, extensive performance and stability improvements, printing improvements, and implemented numerous content updates.

I was part of a team responsible for UI, performance improvements, sharing, and printing using AirPrint.- Clothia Closet, an iPad app for Clothia Inc. a fashion technology startup based in NYC. This app allows users to create “Looks” which are collages of fashion items which users can share with friends and post on a companion website. This app makes use of RestKit for JSON feeds, Core Data, and sports a custom UI. - Fast Company’s United States of Design, an iPad app for Fast Company magazine which is a companion piece for the annual October design issue which highlighted 76 American made products. This app was built with a custom UI, Core Data, remote data loading using JSON, audio and video playback, and a unique tool used to combine camera images with product images.- Cashish, a personal finance iPhone app which is currently available on the iPhone App Store. Cashish was built with a custom UI, Core Graphics, and Core Data. Cashish was named by Apple as a New & Noteworthy Finance App shortly after its release and was selected as TUAW’s Daily App on January 28, 2011.- An iPad app for a major NYC based media company which is marketed to sports professionals for game performance analysis. My responsibilities included building a custom video player using AVFoundation which featured frame-by-frame playback, a split screen mode with two videos playing at once, a custom UI, and tools to filter large amounts of data.
