In addition I provided expert consultation services to entities within the City of San Diego as well as private developers who were in the midst of challenging projects.

Engaged staff in day to day operations and business development efforts for our specialized consulting group where profits came from expert witness and professional estimating services. My efforts in overseeing the expansion of our 3rd party inspection services took us from one full time inspector to the equivalent of two and a half inspectors over the course of only 8 months, with significant expansion into Orange County. Along the way I negotiated and crafted the creation of the stand alone consulting business with months of meetings and business planning sessions with the our new owners, Suffolk Construction.

Completing my previous company's acquisition by ROEL, I was place in charge of the day to day efforts and growth strategies of the existing consulting group. While there we fortified our business vision, established a timeline for creating an autonomous profit center separate from the construction company and embarked on an aggressive upgrade of technology used in servicing our legal, construction and fiduciary clients. CM work included public work for Local Fire Districts, consulting with CCDC and overseeing a $600,000 site drainage repair for a local housing development.

After spending 5 years in the field as a carpenter my track through the business followed the path of Contract Administrator, Estimator, Project Manager, Project Executive, Operations Manager, Director of Pre-Construction, Consultant, and VP of Construction. My markets have been Retail Tenant Improvement, Strip Centers, Motels, Office Buildings, Golf Club Houses, Schools, Multi-family for rent as well as for sale with extensive work in the post litigation Condominium reconstruction market.

With my partner James Frager, we created a uniquely qualified CM service utilizing the technical knowledge of our day to day construction staff working under my guidance to provide clients with expert, pragmatic consultation and solutions aimed at furthering a project's progress while reducing conflicts between Contractors, Designers and Owners.

My company created to provide Construction Management and Owners representative services. My clients ranged from local contractors looking to expand their services and depth through temporary or project specific staff augmentation to Owners looking for an advocate who understood both sides of the argument.

Created a general contracting division for the Owner/Builder component for the newly formed San Diego office. Established project budgets, hired project teams to be in the field as well as created policy and policy documentation.
