With 20 years’ experience in Retail leadership, including a pivotal tenure at Apple, I have always understood that the brands that survive and thrive in changeable trading conditions are those that put the customer first. Throughout my roles, this has meant ensuring that the customer enjoys an exceptional experience at every contact point, whether that’s online or offline, and throughout the entire journey. Customers love to connect with brands that reflect their values, respect their needs, and exceed expectations. While my career centred on physical retail stores for several years, it became crucial to create a cohesive customer experience that brought these together with digital platforms such as Shopify, Magento 2 and Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Creating and leading these strategies in a changing landscape has been the defining characteristic of my career.Here are some of my career highlights:Led a digital transformation project for a major consumer brand, implementing D2C systems and adding £2m in new revenue to an existing £16m.Contributed to my employer being awarded Winner of British Fashion Council Changemaker Prize for 2021.Increased MOM sales by 200% through a branded marketing strategy across all digital and social channels.Held full P&L and delivered £125m in sales with over £20m EBITDA.Grew a global franchise business, delivering an additional £25m in sales.With much of my time spent in senior leadership at Jack Wills and reporting directly to the CEO, I played a key role in growing the company and delivering a seamless omni-channel strategy that saw JW become more relevant, more exciting, and poised to deliver ongoing customer value. I brought about this transition by creating functions, building teams, and uniting them behind a vision of how a great company could become even better. As a leader, I focus on aligning all team members behind a vision, while hearing and respecting all perspectives and contributions. A great team is a diverse one that melds into something greater than the sum of its parts.
