Was the first head of Operations/CFO of fintech startup Motorefi (now Caribou)From 2011 to 2017, was part of the leadership team of the global leader in LEED-standard real estate sustainability certification. Prior to this, provided executive level consulting services in financial and non-financial disciplines, including as interim CFO of Nasdaq-traded GeoEye, Inc. (acquired 2012, now MAXAR) . Prior to the GeoEye assignment, was CEO/CFO of Nasdaq-traded Varsity Group, Inc.(acquired 2008 by Follett) and CFO of Installs inc, LLC (acquired 2006), Starband Communications, LLC (acquired 2003) and Pathnet Inc.I began my post-MBA career with MCI Telecommunications and during 11 years at MCI held Director-level HQ positions responsible for Planning and Budgets, Treasury and Corporate Development/M&A. Pre-MBA, I was senior audit staff with Deloitte Touche. At GeoEye, created a winning $3.8 billion RFP bid response to the US Government, supported 2008 year-end and early 2009 SEC filings, upgraded technical accounting practice and team. At publically-traded Varsity Group Inc., closed financings, rationalized and restructured business units while stabilizing cash flow as CFO/CEO and member of the board of directors. Completed initial Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance controls assessment and weakness remediation. Full SEC financial reporting compliance. Operating units acquired and relocated during 2008; closed both transactions and transitioned operations.
