As an investment advisor with over 20 years’ experience, my team and I focus primarily on serving the strategic investment and planning goals of high-net-worth families and institutional organizations such as endowments, public and private foundations, and small company retirement and profit-sharing plans. Many of my high-net-worth clients are introduced to me during transitional periods such as selling a business or company stock, exercising stock options, retiring, or receiving an inheritance. I also work with real estate professionals seeking to diversify their assets for liquidity and estate planning purposes. In addition to ongoing investment management, I assist my clients with developing a long-term plan which addresses their wealth management needs, including retirement planning, estate planning, educational funding, and charitable giving. In a role similar to that of a chief investment officer, I work closely with the investment committees of my institutional clients to develop and/or enhance their investment and spending policies. Working within the guidelines of the investment policy, I then construct and direct a globally diversified portfolio appropriate for their assets. The investment decisions I make on behalf of these institutions are supported by the considerable asset allocation and manager due diligence efforts of Litman Gregory’s deep and experienced research team.
