From Senior Systems engineer in the early days to Cloud Solutions Architect and pre-sales Architect more recently, I held many different and varied positions across Professional services and managed services. Over the 14 years I was with Data#3, I have had the opportunity to work closely with many of the industry leaders and many forward thinking customers. Specifically working with vendors such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Symantec, Netapp, EMC and Veeam just to name a few.The opportunity to design, implement and operate a public/private cloud platform and craft solutions to the any number of customers’ needs. Using the best software and hardware to provide the very best platform. Primarily offering IAAS solutions but also extending to a number of peripheral services such as solutions for Backup, Disaster Recovery, service management migration and network services.Supporting the sales and delivery parts of the business allowed me to develop a broad knowledge base and skillset revolving around a number of Cloud platforms. Likewise, a strong background in professional service consulting has prepared me to develop innovative solutions for unique customer challenges as well as giving me a great appreciation for IT from a business point of view.

Design and implement an Email hosting environment to cater with a newly formed Australian federal government department responsible for rolling out the National Broadband Network. The design can cater with up to 3000 mailboxes and utilises the latest storage and virtualisation technologies from Microsoft and HP.

Placed onsite at QGC to assist in the stabilisation of the server and storage environment. Initially a troubleshooting role it evolved into position where support was critical however it was also critical to implement a tremendous level of change during the merger in to the BG-Group organisation. During my time at QGC I was involved in many migration projects and a contributor to many of the aspects on the current environment.

Design test and implement Office Communications Server 2007 for 22,000 users. Perform a migration of users from LCS to the new OCS environment. The OCS design was required to cater for full site redundancy from the internet facing edge components to the backend-data bases used to host OCS. The OCS environment also integrated with a large existing fleet of Tandberg and Polycom Video Conferencing units
