New Product Introduction Manager
Responsible for the supply chain of new telecommunication products. • Played a critical role in streamlining the supply chain of 9608G and 9611G Deskphones by changing suppliers and factories and introduced a new hardware design with new software, resulting in multiple millions of dollars per year for the company, without excess or obsolete components or stranded products at the end of the fiscal year. • Introduced the first phones, J169 and J179, in the new, refreshed Deskphone product line. The success of this project was measured by monitoring product inventory levels as customers transitioned from the older product line. • Managed a $1M budget for tooling of the new mechanical parts for J169 and J179 Deskphones to meet the expected production levels. • Saved thousands of dollars per year by phasing out the E129 Deskphone and replacing it with the new J129. This involved changing suppliers and introducing a new hardware design and new software and a $150K budget for tooling of the new mechanical parts. • Led a six-member cross-functional team to deliver a new TSG-approved (Telecommunications Security Group) telephone solution, from negotiating, contracting, testing, production, and sales, resulting in launching the product on schedule and on budget.
