I specialize in multifamily affordable real estate projects, including HUD, Home Loan properties, and Section 42 Tax Credit programs. I have been with The Gateway Companies since 2008 where I oversee Asset Management for over 100 properties in the Southeast. I handle a variety of functions including budgets, accounting, financial reviews, proforma scenarios for future developments, successfully reducing property tax valuations, managing cash flow and return to owners, processing insurance claims and renewals, reviewing and approving reserve requests and capital expenditures, and processing refinance transactions. I have also served in several interim roles in the areas of property management, compliance, accessibility design and compliance, software trainer, IT Manager, and construction and rehab.Before joining Gateway, I was a Mortgage Broker. During that time, I processed and funded residential and commercial mortgages. I was a certified as an underwriter for several major banks and was awarded Mortgage Broker of the Year for Alabama in 2008. In addition, I was licensed as a state instructor for continuing education and assisted with the review and editing of the legislation that was passed to regulate Mortgage Brokers in Alabama. I was born and raised in beautiful Florence, AL where I still reside with my 2 children.
