I've been in the Logistics and Transportation industry now for over 30 years. My start was as an entry level position at a logistics company in the Toronto, ON area coordinating the distribution of computer equipment across Canada in 1992. Since my early beginnings I've had the opportunity to build my logistics competencies directly in both the warehousing and transportation fields over the past 16 years within operations, management, and sales. In 2006 I was provided the opportunity to pursue a position with a software company that served the logistics industry, and I have never regretted it. Applying what I’ve learned in my past experience working directly in the Transportation industry to my current position as a Product manager at a logistics software company has been invaluable. I’ve been able to gain experience within various facets of the transportation industry including Van Lines, Freight Brokerage and LTL/FTL companies. Being able to engage with our customer and user base, having experienced the same challenges they face on a day to day basis, provides a unique perspective and allows me to better engage our user community.I thrive in a fast paced busy environment, and am always eager and willing to travel to new places and meet new people. I’m an avid foodie, and finding those hole in the wall places to eat while travelling is always part of the adventure. (I think Anthony Bourdain is my spirit animal). Outside of the office I also love to cook and making pretty much anything I can for my wife and three kids. Bread, charcuterie, homebrewing, and pizza are my latest passions in the kitchen. Core competencies: Knowledge and experience with FTL, LTL, and various other transportation networks, software implementations, EDI, SQL Programming, sales engineering, product support and services, transportation consulting and process improvement, integrations, and quality assurance.
