Hired to simultaneously manage Biotech Without Borders and serve as instructor for the community biology lab's 2019 iGEM high school team. The iGEM competition is an effort to generate solutions for real world problems through the use and advancement of molecular biology, attracting participants internationally from high school, university, and citizen science backgrounds. Was responsible for training four collegiate intern advisors that utilized their higher education background in biology to provide practical mentorship for team members in the lab. Team members were a cohort of over 20 high school students, most of whom had little practical experience but great enthusiasm to participate in the program. Instructed the principles of molecular biology and system design to high school students that would perform practical project work in the lab with the assistance of collegiate intern advisors. Supervised activities of all participants in the lab to ensure that biological safety protocols were followed and accompanied the team to the iGEM Giant Jamboree in Boston where they presented their project to the receipt of a Bronze Metal award.

Established an applied mycology educational resource and since it’s 2018 inception taught numerous public and private workshops on biology, bioremediation, DNA barcoding, sterile tissue culture, mushroom cultivation, biological art, materials, and design to academic, research, community, and private audiences throughout New York City, the United States and the United Kingdom. In 2019 developed several original mycology/soil/molecular biology educational programs he taught and facilitated that engaged grade school, high school, college, and adult students.

Invited by M.S. 126’s Sustainability Coordinator to be a recurring guest instructor for their Soil Cycle program, facilitated through the National Wildlife Federation's Eco-Schools initiative, a nationwide environmental based effort that engages Pre K-12 students, teachers, and administrators in eco-literacy. The Soil Cycle curriculum helped students understand soil biology through a fundamental system called the soil food web, that is the key element in generating the organic matter that turns the sand, silt, and clay of dirt into soil. Sessions comprised of classroom presentations accompanied by hands on activities, live soil microscopy demos that highlighted key soil food web microorganisms, and a soil building installation at the schools demonstration garden that provided a practical connection to the theory of nutrient cycling. Funds to support the program were made possible through thesettlement from the Newtown Creek Superfund site which M.S. 126 is immediately situated near.

Invited by Beam Center’s Director of Youth Programs to develop and instruct their 2019 spring apprenticeship program Fractal Mycology, a 15 week experiential educational program for high school students that explored the world of fungi. During the program students discovered how fungi are keystone organisms that facilitate the creation of soils and life on earth through nutrient cycling. Teens learned how use a range of tools and technologies to build equipment for gourmet mushroom cultivation and develop simple bio-digester systems to propagate remaining mycelium on up-cycled paper waste materials that would accelerate their decomposition into soil. This collaborative educational approach addressed NYS Living Environment and CDOS standards, where students developed skills to become positive mentors and teachers for children, learned how to develop careerskills and prepare for higher education, no matter where they choose to go in life.

Founded sole proprietorship while still in university as an independent consultant providing custom solutions for clients in the form of translation, professional briefing, market/product analysis, and language training services. Principal strategy of consultancy revolves around the intersection of linguistics, culture, economics, history, and politics to provide a comprehensive knowledge base for clients.

Was responsible for business plan and go-to-market strategy development with own research and analyses compiled on competitors, market concentration, customer demographics, and product quintile targets; drafted pitch strategies for prospective investors and vendors; interviewed and hired employees; managed correspondence with legal council, business leads and contacts.• Completed successful business accelerator application that invited Urbful to pitch to prospective investors.• Solely responsible for recruiting general council that incorporated Urbful in August of 2013.

As lead help desk technician facilitated the functioning of the university’s network, firewall, phone switchboard, first level phone support, and desktop support for faculty, staff, and students. Performed in a busy environment to meet the pressing IT needs of an academic institution, all whilst ensuring client satisfaction and remediation of issues.

Volunteered to tutor Chinese immigrants, after receiving ESL training to certification by Literacy Works. Through tutoring outreach improved student’s functional English language skills to better grasp the intermingling of English grammar, pronunciation, and context.

Summer intern for the Alderman of Rogers Park, was responsible for performing a number of local government functions for residents of the 49th Ward. Such tasks included, but were not limited to, taking calls and messages, assisting senior staff with reviewing data and projects for the Ward, issuing municipal permits and documents. Obtained direct experience regarding the functions of Chicago local government.

Sold a variety of bicycles and a wide range of accessories, from available inventory and customized vendor orders. Received, processed, and inventoried vendor and manufacturer shipments, scheduled customer bicycle repairs for shop mechanic, performed basic floor bicycle maintenance and adjustment. Consulted customers regarding shop inventory and bicycle repair solutions.
