I am the founder and CEO of our new start up VERN AI which is a patented emotion detection artificial intelligence software system. V.E.R.N. is our flagship product that detects human emotions for computers in real time, without the need to learn on tons of data. VERN Health is our healthcare application that uses VERN AI and other emotional detection technologies to provide multiple data points for healthcare and telehealth.In addition, I am also the CEO of software development company THiNC.technology. I have a BA and MA from Michigan State University in Information Science and Media, and have completed 3 years of PhD study at MSU in Advertising and Public Relations. My specialties and research interests include general communication research, humor, computer mediated communication, innovation diffusion, natural language processing, neuroscience, psychology, artificial intelligence, marketing and consumer behavior. In my early career I was Creative Director for media and advertising companies; Producer/Director of television programs, music videos and commercials; Promotions Director for media companies, and webmaster pretty much wherever I went. I am a proud Michigander and live in West Michigan, close to Lake Michigan, and thoroughly enjoy the natural beauty of my home state.
