Working with a team of highly experienced engineers to develop the Woodie Woodie Bioenergy Project in the East Pilbara Region of Western Australia

I was a co founder of AgGrow Energy Resources Pty Ltd, a consultancy that developed projects in the Renewable Energy and Agribusiness industry. Our mission was to create sustainable renewable fuel / energy solutions by uniquely converting biomass to fuel for regionally remote clients including resource companies and Indigenous Communities.Key company achievements:Apr 2015 - Validation of financial Due Diligence by PwC for 3 Phases of Biomass to RNG ProjectSep 2014 – Capital Raising Roadshow to raise $8 million equity for Showcase Project;Jun 2014 - Awarded $300,000 Measure Grant from ARENA to complete a Detailed Feasibility Study for the Pilbara Biomass to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Project;Apr 2014 - Awarded a $3 million WA State Government Grant to demonstrate viable irrigated agricultural activities using surplus mine dewater and to develop the Biomass to RNG Project;2013 - Gained eligibility from ARENA for an EOI under their IRAR program for project funding; - Conducted a Communication Day and accompanied a Belgian delegation on a Pilbara Familiarization visit; - Appointed by Consolidated Minerals to conduct a prefeasibility tour in Europe to investigate the suitability of appropriate anaerobic digester technology; - Secured 250 ha Land Diversification permit in 2013 for dual mine/ station pilot; - Awarded a $250,000.00 Government Grant in July 2010 to manage a pilot project for the development of a bio-energy economy using Natural Resources in the Pilbara Region; - Achieved record yields from its trial while establishing planting, irrigation and nutrition protocols ahead of moving to a remote mining site to use water from their mine dewatering process; - Awarded a Service Contract to manage a two year biofuel project at Woodie Woodie Mine in the Pilbara.

I was invited to join the Board of Directors of this company as a non executive director. The company is involved in the biofuel industry specialising in plantations of Jatropha in Africa as its principle feedstock.Key company achievements:• Assisted in raising $1.5 million seed capital for the project.• Assisted in preparation of Information Memorandum for the project with funding of $40 million over 8 years.

I was the managing director responsible for the company that was involved in a wide range of transport and logistics activities incorporating surface freight, air freight and warehousing divisions. The company specialised in moving large volumes of break bulk and cargo from the ports by road and by rail throughout Southern and Central Africa.I managed the Surface Freight Division which included 40 staff with 100 trucks under sub contract and 12 trucks under managementResponsibilities included:• The management of all road/rail transport contracts from ports, via warehouses to inland destinations using primary and secondary transportation systems.• The coordination of large volume drought relief programs and hauling food aid to remote areas in association with leading NGO agencies such as World Food Programme, World Vision, Euronaid, CARE, and UNHCR.• The management and direction for the HR Department, including recruitment, staff welfare and administration of the Company Pension Fund• The management of the company retail fuel station outlet with average sales of 1 million litres per month • The management of the company travel business which included the supervision of weekly charters for Scandinavian FIFO contractors working on a 5 year port rehabilitation program in Mozambique I was also responsible for the management of the Warehouse Division including 25 permanent staff, and 80 contract staff. the capacity of the warehouse was 27,500 m2 of covered storage space serviced by two double spur rail sidings.Responsibilities:• The management of the day to day handling in/out activities of the warehouse with a maximum capacity of 90,000 tonnes of break bulk cargo.• The liaison and management of the National Railways and trucking companies to ensure swift turnaround • The management of clearances in/out of transit customs bonded warehouse facility
