💼 Pharma / CRO Experience:For over a decade I have worked within the pharmaceutical industry as a SAS Programmer. Working closely with the CDISC standards, handling both SDTM and ADaM datasets and all associated components from the dataset specifications to the define.xml outputs.I have developed departments from the ground up, from recruitment to process development. I have led both small and large teams and led cross departmental projects.From the creation of several tools to a plethora of SAS macros I have been involved in the production of both SDTM and ADaM datasets and Tables, Figures and Listings, but also tools which create the define.xml outputs independent of SAS.I am a subject matter expert in the production of the SDTM datasets and in the production of the SDTM/ADaM Define.xml outputs. I am also a subject matter expert in the production of Figures.I have a plethora of experience leading multiple projects which include internal process "non-billable" projects and "billable" projects (i.e. studies). Internal projects such as Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development and the production and presentation of training materials. I was also the systems program manager for the SAS system in a previous role, which included the system validation and renewal of the SAS system. I have also presented at several conferences including CDISC and PhUSE.🎓 Education: I have First Class Degree in Mathematics BSc (Hons) from Swansea University.📚 Skills: First and foremost I am a SAS programmer, I am well versed in SAS Base as well as SAS Graph (including GTL), SAS MACRO and SAS STAT. I am also self taught in the now deprecated EXCEL VBA as well as the newer Visual Basic .NET programming languages. I am also a confident SQL programmer and recently been looking into R programming, primarily the R Markdown package.🏥 Volunteering: I regularly volunteer once a week in my local hospital, it's a reminder that my contributions towards clinical research could have a real-world impact.Always open to helping up and coming programmers and students, message me and I will reply.
