Relocated from London, ON area to Vancouver, BC for Regional Manager position. Responsible for managing the scheduling, staffing, and execution of inventory count and merchandising service events to achieve profitability and service goals. Accountable for ~$7.5M P&L across nine business units throughout BC and Yukon. Reporting to me as Regional Manager was a team of 5-7 District Managers, 8-10 Area Managers, a Regional Office Coordinator and Recruiter, and dotted line reporting from upwards of 400 frontline associates. Lead a team of Inventory Managers and Inventory Associates, handling upwards of 1,300 inventory and merchandising service events annually. Accountable for P&L of more than $1.5M and inventory counts in excess of $10M. My teams provided merchandising and electronic data collection services at warehouse, manufacturing, and retail customers throughout various markets in Ontario and across Canada. Scheduled labour and other resources to maximize productivity and optimize profitability of each inventory event; as many as 10 different teams and 100+ staff in the field simultaneously. Partnered with customers for stock-taking events. Delicately managed relationships with customers at highly stressful times, providing a reliable, consistent, and positive customer experience. Assisted in developing customized inventory count processes to address deficiencies as desired. Succession planning for specialized associate roles, supervisors, and managers. Developed contingencies to be able to provide assistance to outside operations and last minute special projects as needed. Exported teams to assist in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, throughout Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC. Personally provided assistance and leadership throughout Ontario and abroad (New England, Upstate NY, and some midwest states). Chaired management and staff meetings, and planned and hosted team-building and fundraising events. 100% improvement in key productivity measurement in my tenure. Improved net profitability each year of my tenure, more than doubling within the first three years. Participated in several senior management groups (Employer of Choice, Innovation, and others) tasked with identifying areas for improvement to people, processes, and culture; including supporting the development of company-wide software launches.
