About Craig Rodgers

In 2006, after years of serving as a nationally respected Vice President in the trade show industry, and Sales Manager for various industry exposition agencies, Craig was diagnosed with Brain Cancer. Now carrying a death sentence from three separate doctors it seemed impossible to find the light at the end of the tunnel. If you know Craig personally (long before brain cancer) then you know not to mention the words “I can’t” in his presence. Apparently three doctors didn’t get the memo – they got it now… It was Dr Lang at MD Anderson Cancer who brightened the light in Craig’s tunnel when he said, “Don’t give up, we can do this together.” Being the only surgeon in the country (possibly the world) performing this type of brain surgery, Craig immediately respected Dr. Lang for going where no man had gone before. In fact, Craig is only the 51st person to undergo this particular brain surgery. Why stop at one brain surgery? Craig SURVIVED HIS SECOND BRAIN SURGERY performed on December 8, 2011. The foundation is owned by Cannabis Science, a pioneering U.S. biotech company developing pharmaceutical cannabis (marijuana) products. The findings from the research will guide Cannabis Science to develop new products, enter the FDA, and perform clinical studies.Cannabis Science has identified 20 ailments that require more research to determine if cannabis is an appropriate treatment, but show promise in this regard. The focus of the foundation, however, begins with cancer. The company has already had apparent success with cancer patients using its formulations on their basal cell carcinomas (please see the website at www.cannabisscience.com and click on "Breaking News"). These findings have spearheaded more cancer research necessary for understanding the influence cannabis can have on the illness. Newer, breakthrough research is conducted in the foundation's laboratory. Later, emphasis will also be made on researching other ailments.The foundation is funded internally and externally through donations and fundraising events. The funds raised support all aspects of the foundation's research efforts. Events will include concerts, black tie events, charity fundraising events, movie showings, documentaries, and more.
