Growing up in the Bay Area was the likely catalyst for unlocking my inherent entrepreneurial spirit. Educated at the University of San Francisco, I earned a BA in Business Communications. My first foray into the "corporate" world began in the Marketing Department of Del Webb’s Sahara Tahoe in 1980. Witnessing the low tech promotions associated with brand loyalty laid a serendipitous and unique foundation to the more comprehensive and analytical approach that now serves as the cornerstone of my current business at Imagine This, the largest casino marketing company in North America.In the early 80's I joined a real estate syndicator, Equitec Financial Group, where I was exposed to a broad spectrum of industry responsibilities including investment pro forma analysis, acquisition, disposition, lending, leasing, and property management services. In the mid 80’s I moved to Newport Beach, CA and joined Grubb & Ellis to embark on the brokerage side of the business as an Office Properties Specialist. After a solid run that lasted over a decade, a medical event changed the course of my career as my wife became the recipient of a new heart. Her successful transplant ultimately empowered the two of us to share her story by climbing mountains around world and form a non-profit called Moving Hearts Foundation. In 1997 I joined Overnite Express, a young start-up in the Regional Shipping industry. As a leading sales executive and subsequent VP of Sales & Marketing, my effort helped grow the annual revenue to $20M before being sold in 2008 to Norco Delivery Services. During this same period I invented and patented a technology to monitor an individuals hydration. An ensuing license agreement with several strategic partners brought “HydraCoach” to life in the form of an intelligent water bottle and an inline flow meter for hydration backpacks. The products continue to be sold throughout the world and a wireless version is currently in the development stages. Imagine That!
