Like many artists, I've spent a good portion of my life in process trying to discover the "hows" and "whys" of success. I feel as though I am coming out of my art cave and exposing myself to the light of day. Although the light is bright, it fills me with the energy of new creativity. Experience is what life is all about. To me, creating art is playing. I encourage anyone who is interested in my work to contact me to begin a personal dialogue so I may better serve your artistic needs.Short Bio: Craig Rurey (CR) was born in Portland, Oregon. He studied most all of the fine art processes at Arizona State University, Western States College, and Portland State University. In 1976, his creative direction evolved further and he began to carve: sculpture, furniture, and functional fine art objects. CR's work has been shown at numerous exhibitions throughout Oregon and Washington. CR continues to create fine works of original art at his studio and residence in Portland, Oregon.
