In this role as Director HR, supported corporate functions including CTAO (IT, EPMO, Analytics and Insights) and CDO (Real Estate, Strategic Sourcing, Strategy, Legal and Sustainability, and Communications) groups.Prior roles at Sobeys include Director HR supporting our logistics and distribution team (lead negotiator in several collective agreement renewals to meet or exceed targets, implemented a new attendance management policy/program, assist in start-up of a green field automated distribution centre) from Jan 2008 through March 2015. Most recently my prior role was Director HR supporting our Office/Backstage employees across Canada including all functions (align/harmonize HR practices/processes across the various office locations; raised the bar on performance management and talent management; key project team member for Sobeys' Project Sunrise restructure). I also held the role of Director HR leading the Management Development team in raising the bar on engagement, leadership development, workforce planning, 3rd party avoidance and continuous improvement.

Accepted a 1-year secondment opportunity within Empire Company at Longo's as Director, HR.Leading a great team of HR professionals in support of a number of areas of the business including the Distribution Centre, Central Kitchen, Grocery Gateway, and our Support Centre. Learning & Development program design, development and implementation across all areas of the business. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy and initiatives in partnership with the CHRO and the DE&I Committee. Talent acquisition strategy design, development and implementation to ensure business needs are met in a competitive labour environment. Engagement strategies to drive Team Member and Guest Experience and in turn organizational performance.

Created/teach an introductory course on Labour and Employment Relations for 3rd and 4th year students.
