Coordinated activities with the caustic refining, bleaching, acidulating and winterizing functions.On special assignment in co-operation with Personnel and Labor Relations organizations (approximately one half year). Developed a job evaluation program for all plant hourly jobs. Responsible for liaison with labor union executive officers. Participated in development of compensation program for labor contract negotiations which decided rates of pay for plant hourly jobs.Responsible for departmental processing efficiency, quality standards, labor usage, maintenance of equipment, inventory control, manufacturing supplies, employee training, union labor relations, cost control, employee safety, sanitation standards, environmental protection, FDA and OSHA requirements.
