About Craig Stevens

I am an experienced civil litigator. Before joining Capital Chambers as a commercial barrister I was for about 3 decades a partner with (now) DLA Piper. My work then and now has involved a range of commercial, insurance, public law, regulatory, securities, trust, resources and environmental advice and litigation. This has been mainly in the High Court, Court of Appeal and specialist Courts. I have been fortunate to act for diverse and interesting public and private corporates, local authorities, SoEs, crown agencies and individual clients. Along with many others, I have been involved in various community and industry roles, including for several years as Chair of the Board of the Victoria University Foundation. A while back I graduated from VUW with a BA/LLB. I greatly enjoy coming to work.
